It’s 6 in the morning on a Saturday and I was so tired, I was on my way to meet my friend. We were going to take the SAT at University High School. When we were together we headed towards the bus stop, as we were waiting we noticed a black car driving started to slow down. As it slowed down we realized the car stopped right in front of us, my friend and I looked at each other weirdly, we then realized there was an older man that looked like he was in his 30’s. He then rolled down his window and started to speak. He asked us where we were going, we ignored him and he continued the conversation, he said he could take us anywhere we wanted, I started to feel so uncomfortable and did not want to be there anymore. The man started to unbuckle his seat-belt, and I thought he was going to get off the car, I had never felt so terrorized, I wanted to run, but I froze. Thankfully there was another man heading to our bus stop and told him to leave us alone. The man left and we were so happy, but scared because we thought he might come back again. From there on out I was even more cautious of my surroundings.
Just like any other day I dropped off my daughter at school and wished her a great day. As I saw her cross the street and enter school, I received a text from my husband telling me he loved me. With a smile on my face I began to respond to the text when a stranger approached my window. The stranger began a conversation and offered to take me out to breakfast. I immediately denied his offer and told him that he needed to leave me alone. The stranger insisted and began to say that he would provide me a better life if I gave him a chance. I turned on my car and told him that he needed to leave me alone before I involved the police. I drove away and parked near my work, and so i thought that that would be the end of the stranger. Exactly 10 minutes later the stranger hit my car's passenger window and told me he would never leave me alone. I panicked and let go of my phone that was in my hand, as much as i tried to grab it , i was unable to move. When i got my strength back I turned on my car and as i was gunna drive away the stranger got on top of my car and said that he will leave with me. I didn't know what to do and i began to panic again. The stranger got off my car and began to run to his car. I drove away going through little streets so that he would not find me. Thankfully i never saw the stranger again but it did make me cautious of how I should carry a self defense tool with me at all times because this time I was safe and next time it may be worse.
